Imagination is at the heart of faith. In our imagination, a grove of trees becomes a province of faeries, the bush burns incandescent in the glory of the divine, the seas hold lost kingdoms. In this spirit, my novel imagines Jesus of Nazareth through the eyes of his brother, Tauma, named the Twin. As such, it is an invitation to me, and to my readers to re-imagine a world, a movement, a religion, a life that, too often, has been misappropriated or taken for granted. The Twin invites the reader into his/her own heart, in the realm where blood meets spirit, where the mundane meets the sacred, where Wisdom/Shekinah makes herself a home, and where the Spirit sets one free.
